The final report, like the previous ones, found that participating students felt safer after school, but that the program had little or no impact on academic achievement, homework completion, and parental involvement. According to the Afterschool Alliance, the final report is of little use to the education community or to afterschool leaders because all the studied programs were funded before the No Child Left Behind Act changed the program dramatically.
