Those organizations and their constituent services networks collectively touch or are touched by nearly every household in America---as consumers of services, donors or volunteers. They comprise a $32 billion sector that employs some 800,000 workers, operating from over 150,000 locations.

How to Join
the National Assembly
National nonprofit organizations with programs in the health and/or human
services fields may apply for membership. To be a qualified, national
nonprofit, an organization must have at least one of the following:

Application Process
An organization may apply for membership at any time during the year. Action
on applications shall depend on National Assembly meeting schedules. However,
consideration of membership applications shall occur at least three times
a year.
To apply, the chief executive officer and/or chief volunteer officer of an applying organization shall submit a letter to the President and CEO of the National Assembly indicating the organization’s interest in membership and including the following information. This information will be duplicated and shared with the Board or a designated committee of the National Assembly. As such, succinct summary information is requested.
The application for membership should
also include the following statement, signed by the chief executive officer
or board chair of the applicant organization: “I hereby attest that
(name of organization) meets the qualifications for membership in the National
Assembly of Health & Human Service Organizations and that it agrees to
abide by the requirements of the National Assembly.”
National Assembly Dues
Membership dues for the National Assembly range from $1,200 to $21,500, depending on the applicant organization's revenues.

Peer Networking Group (noun) An assemblage of senior staff from the National Assembly member organizations serving in the same occupational role. The groups exist to provide senior personnel with an opportunity to communicate directly with peers in their field within the non-profit, health and human services field.
Peer network groups communicate via listservs, conference calls, and/or through in-person meetings. For more information on who participates in these groups, click here.
