The Executive Leadership Institute (ELI) is an exclusive learning and networking opportunity for CEOs and board leaders. It is even more exciting and enticing this year because it is hosted by the Drucker and Ito Graduate School of Management at Claremont Graduate University in Claremont CA (near Los Angeles, Ontario and Palm Springs), the university-based "heir" to the tradition of Peter F. Drucker. The Drucker School was just named one of the Top Ten Business Schools by the Princeton Review. The faculty, who will be conducting ELI for the National Assembly this year, ranked sixth in the nation!
When: November 8-10, 2007
Where: Peter F. Drucker and Masatoshi Ito Graduate School of Management
Claremont Graduate University
Claremont, CA
Invited: CEOs and board leaders of national organizations only.
Schedule of Events
Thursday, November 8 at 12:00 p.m.
Lunch and Assembly Board meeting, Doubletree Claremont Hotel. Contact Irv to RSVP at irv@nassembly.org.
Thursday, November 8 at 6:00 p.m.
ELI begins with an opening reception and dinner at the Doubletree Claremont Hotel. This is essential pre-Institute networking.
Friday, November 9
Institute begins at the Drucker-Ito School of Management, walking distance from the Doubletree. The day concludes with a reception and dinner at the home of the President of the university.
Saturday, November 10
Institute concludes at Noon. Lunch is available for those who wish it. Dr. Warren Bennis, one of the foremost experts and authors on the subject of organizational development is speaking on the campus on Saturday morning, and we have added his presentation to the ELI program.
Dinner hour. Rosabeth Moss Kantor of the Harvard Business School will be speaking at a dinner sponsored by the Drucker Institute to which we are invited. Kantor is a noted author and expert on strategy, innovation and leadership.
Note: Friday and Saturday's content will be provided by faculty and the dean of the Drucker-Ito School. To call it a "graduate refresher" for national nonprofit leaders is not an understatement. Here's the line-up:
If you have not participated in ELI before, it is an intense and intimate gathering. We expect around 30 people, all from national human service organizations, large and small—All peers. Getting to know or to better know colleagues is typically equal in value to the content. But you be the judge. And it is an informal event. Be comfortable, though you may want to bring a jacket or dress for the reception and dinner at the president's home.
Added Program Bonus! The Drucker and Ito School will be presenting its own workshops on Saturday afternoon to which all ELI registrants are invited at no extra cost!
Accommodations
If you have not reserved a room yet, do so right now. It is a very nice hotel, not a large resort. Call the Doubletree Claremont at (909) 626-2411. The rate for the Assembly block of rooms has expired, however there is still space available at reasonable rates.
Registration Information
Fee: The fee for a CEO or other staff leader is $500; $400 for a board leader (including members of the Assembly Board, regardless of your position). For a CEO/staff leader and board leader attending from the same organization, it is $400 per individual. If a spouse or significant other is to join us for meals (or audit any sessions), there is an additional charge of $100.
The fees are so modest thanks to the sponsorship of Mutual of America and the generosity of the Drucker-Ito Graduate School of Management.
Here’s what we need for registration.
