The Essence of Leadership Awards historically recognizes Excellence in National Nonprofit Leadership, National Board Leadership, Excellence by a Member of the Media, and Excellence in National Public or Civic Leadership. The National Assembly is honored to add, Technology Leadership and Technology Innovation to our prestigious award series.
The National Human Services Assembly, an organization of leading national nonprofit organizations, invites your nominations for awards recognizing leaders and innovators of technology by National Assembly member organizations.
Mark your calendar for October 26 for the 2nd Annual Technology Summit hosted by the National Human Services Assembly in partnership with Insight Public Sector.
Award Criteria
Award for Excellence in Technology Leadership
This award is for a Chief Technology/Information Officer or Technology Vice President/Director of a national nonprofit health and human service organization who provides excellence in leadership in his or her own organization. This person must consistently and effectively display effective communication skills, have excellent crisis management skills, and be a technology visionary.
It is preferred the nominee currently be employed at a National Human Services Assembly member organization.
Nominations should be no longer than two pages and include: the professional and organizational history of the nominee, noting key achievements and innovations; and how the individual provides leadership to his or her organization.
Award for Excellence in Technology Innovation
This award is for any technology staff person who has effectively and successfully designed and/or implemented an innovative and cutting edge information technology project at hisor her own organization resulting in improvement of organization business functions/processes.
It is preferred that the nominee currently be employed at a National Human Services Assembly member organization.
Nominations should be no longer than two pages and include: the professional and organizational history of the nominee; how the individual has improved efficiency in his or her current organization; noting key achievements and innovations; and a summary of successfully implemented innovative technology projects.
