Knowledge Leadership Peer Council
Invitation/Overview
Knowledge leadership is the “application of knowledge” (including intellectual assets, products, and competencies) to achieve specific business strategies and results. For nonprofit organizations, knowledge leadership is integral to achieving the vision, mission, and objectives of the organization. Too often knowledge leadership - including the educational products, technical assistance supports, staff development, knowledge management practices, and training that an organization delivers - is seen merely as a department or service rather then as an organization-wide asset and strategy for achieving business goals.
How does an organization move forward in aligning its individual departmental approaches to knowledge leadership and commit to supporting and organizing a more cohesive and collaborative organizational learning strategy? The following questions may help us focus on where our organizations need to go as we work together to determine how best to get there:
The goal of this council is not only to find the answers to those questions but in so doing provide the opportunity for sharing the strategies and effective practices that can help each organization achieve their knowledge leadership objectives in the most comprehensive and cost effective way possible.
