(WFIT), 54 percent of middle-school and high-school students engaged in moderate-vigorous activity at least five of seven days—compared to 8 percent of teens nationally, according to a recent program evaluation. WFIT, an Assembly member, is a leading provider of healthy behaviors and personal empowerment programming and training that result in a triple bottom line for young people: obesity reduction; increased graduation rates; and work readiness/jobs. Outside evaluator Kaiser Consulting Group says the WFIT approach is “increasingly important to consider because it integrates physical activity with everyday experiences in safe and fun ways for all abilities.”
