Universal Accreditation Act takes effect on July 14, 2014

Agencies providing adoption services in cases where a child immigrates to or emigrates from the U.S. should review new details regarding Council on Accreditation (COA) rules and federal healthcare reform. COA encourages agencies to apply as soon as possible to complete COA’s nine- to 18-month Hague accreditation/approval process. The Inter-Country adoption Universal Accreditation Act of 2012 (UAA) signed into law on January 14, 2013, takes effect on July 14, 2014. 07/15/2013
