Recent advances in behavioral and neuroscience research belong in juvenile justice reform efforts, particularly with regard to adolescent development and offending, according to the National Research Council of The National Academies. Reforming Juvenile Justice: A Developmental Approach, a two-year independent study of the juvenile justice system, was commissioned by the federal Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention. 01/24/2013
