In the past year, one of 10 adults went without a basic need such as food or medicine to provide food for another family member, reports Generations United in Hunger and Nutrition: What’s at Stake for Children, Families and Older Adults. The poll also found that nearly one-third of U.S. adults have either experienced lack of food or been concerned about food insecurity among their family, friends or neighbors. 12/14/2012
