Recession’s Impact On Nonprofit Executive Transition – Decreased, but Not By Much

A survey of 3,000 nonprofit executives over 5 years, shows that there has been a slowdown in executive transition, which can be accounted for due to loss of retirement, a shrinking job market and increased organizational instability due to funding cuts.  Even so, 67% report an intention to transition with the next five years, and only 17% of organizations have a documented succession plan.  Access the full Daring to Lead 2011 report by read CompassPoint Nonprofit Services and the Meyer Foundation on executive transition. 06/30/2011
