Data Uncovers Who America’s Uncovered Kids Are

According to 2008 data from the American Community Survey an estimated 7.3 million children lacked health insurance, 4.7 million of whom wereeligible for CHIP or Medicaid but were not enrolled, furthermore, uninsured rates varied significantly across the nation – ranging from a lowof 1.7 percent in Massachusetts to a high of 20.1 percent in Nevada.
