New data shows that public-housing students from more economically diverse neighborhoods, who attend lower-poverty elementary schools, significantly outperform low-income elementary students who attend higher-poverty schools –  in some cases, cutting math-achievement gap with non-poor students by half and the reading gap by one-third.  Read more about the connection between housing and education in EdWeek.
