FY2011 Senate Labor-HHS Bill Focuses on Waste Reduction and Economic Support for Working Americans

The 2011 Senate Labor, Health and Human Services, Education and Related Agencies Appropriations bill provides $169.6 billion to in discretionary funding to a range of programs.  Highlights include: a new $300 million Early Learning Challenge Fund; $240 million for five new Workplace Innovation Funds; an increase of $1 billion for childcare services; an increase of $250 million to target fraud and abuse in Medicare and Medicaid; and cutting of 23 programs totally $317 million.  Learn more about the bill. 08/03/2010
