Historic Act Aims to Reduce Violence on Reservations

On July 29th, President Obama signed the Tribal Law and Order Act, which aims to reduce violent crime on Indian reservations, in particular sexual assault and domestic violence, as one in three Native American women will be raped in their lifetime and suffer from violent crime at a rate three and a half times greater than the national average.  Learn more about the Tribal Law and Order Act. 08/03/2010
